Meet our judges!

Celeste Brown is a USDF Bronze and Silver medalist, currently working on her Gold Medal. She rides all the current FEI tests. Not only is she a USDF L graduate with distinction, she is a USEF/USDF “r” accepted applicant dressage judge!! Celeste has organized, managed, and been the secretary for USEF/USDF two ring shows. She started her riding in Upstate NY, but moved to Salado, TX 8 years ago, where she runs Pine Meadows, a 57 acre farm. Her farm is the home of Laetita-FEI Oldenburg, Sonata Song CR-5 yr. old Oldenburg, DJJJ Stars Ace- Morgan Stallion, 18 miniature donkeys, and 7 AKC collies.

CC Farms Equestrian Center owner and founder Jenny Cohn's passion has always been horses. At age 7, she became affiliated with the United States Pony Clubs, an organization devoted to producing well-rounded horsemen and women. The emphasis there is on the teaching of riding skills, horse-care fundamentals and team participation with sportsmanship. At age 17, Jenny exercised race horses and developed into an endurance rider. For 3 years, she was a working student for Sharon Pluniak. In 1988, she became affiliated with an event barn, and in 1991 she went to Ellie Stine to work on her flat work. While there, she purchased Bert from Ellie and trained him to  Prix St. George. Jenny has trained many  horses of various breeds and in 1998 started her professional training career. Also in 1998, Jenny became an L graduate. Jenny has earned the USDF Bronze Medal. Jenny has trained with top professionals including Charlotte Bredhal, Cindy Ishoy, Gerd Zuther and Ellie Stine-Masik. Currently Jenny brings Carla Symader in from Germany for clinics. Jenny is currently training with Cyndi Jackson.

Terri Buzan is an “S” judge, whose career has spanned 5 decades of riding, training, studying, coaching, teaching, judging and serving as a Technical Delegate.  She grew up in the Chicago area riding “B” circuit hunters, “A” circuit jumpers, riding dressage, eventing, and fox hunting.  She is a USDF Bronze medalist, and a USEA Bronze, Silver and Gold medalist. At one point, Terri rode in every long format the United States had to offer. At her farm she has turned out many open, adult amateur, and junior divisions’ champions, as well as Horse of the Year in all divisions. Well, one could go on forever about all the achievements Terri has, but I think the real story of Terri, is not just about her achievements, but her commitment to give back to the dressage community.  It is more than rare, that an “S” judge would be willing to spend her time judging a schooling show, much less take the time to talk to individual competitors, assisting them in achieving their goals.  Terri does all this and more. She has taken time to share her knowledge, her expertise, and even her pet peeves!  She has not forgotten the “little” people of dressage. For that we thank and appreciate her.
