We are a group of Dressage Fanatics in the Prescott-Area that have a ton of fun together... Dressage Desperados know how to work hard and play even harder!
What is the purpose of our club?
Enthusiasm for Dressage is growing all around us, even in the more remote areas of the western USA. So we formed this club to put on more schooling shows in addition to the shows the NAC provides. This way people can get their horses out to different places throughout the year and attend schooling shows without having to drive down to the valley. Saves gas, time and money...brings fun. Sounds good.
Our plan is to provide three shows in 2013. We are looking forward to host one R rated judge and two L-graduates. This concept worked great in the past years and was appreciated by the competitors with a lot of feedback and attendance. For 2013 we will put on shows with a supportive and fun atmosphere, special rail classes, prize-drawings and different opportunities to win awards. The Flying B Ranch is our host that offers much space for parking and warm-up and that has the option to move to a covered arena, just in case we would get rained or snowed on. There are day stalls available for the horses as well.
Our next event:
Western Dressage Clinic
on Saturday Oct 18, 2014
Featuring Connie Lara, Champion Western Dressage Rider
Dressage Desperados has a new Junior Rider Program
Beginning with our schooling show on October 16, 2011, we will be giving a prize at each of our shows to the Junior Rider with the highest score for the day. We will also be giving a year-end high point award to the Junior Rider with the highest qualifying score for the year.
